We need to get the word out on multi touch!

I have still been working on this project. My DI set up is going though some mods right now. I have been working on the IR LEDs. Getting the right angle is not as easy as it sounds. It’s been fighting me all the way. I have a good idea how to solve this problem. I had to lower the LEDs and space them out some more. The only thing is I ran out of wire. So tomorrow I’m back at radio shack to get more wire. All in all most of this is ready. I had ordered some rear projection screen from rosebrand.com and had it sent to me. They did some of the props at Yankee stadium for the Pope when he was here. I thought that was pretty cool. The shipping was super fast. So the only thing holding me back is the IR LEDs. And hopeful I will knock that out tomorrow.

Hey guys,

I have time today to work on the MT08 today. So I will finish the LEDs. Then start running test on all the apps I have so far. Also will post video and photos today if I get lucky. This MT08 ( multi touch 2008) is 95 % done with the hardware. The look is a different story altogether. I have to paint it still and finish the box. Mainly the bottom and lower sides. Add wheels and Air flow holes. Also add a power strip. As this is just a prototype I will not go too crazy on the look. The next one I build will be top notch. I have a few tricks up my sleeve for that one. So stay tuned today for photos and videos on my MT08 DI set up.

I spent some time today. Reforming my design. I am makeing the DI setup taller. So now the Box stands at 3 feet. That gives me 6 feet to fold the projection. So my screen size is now 32 across. Just under 40 inches. I still have to wire it up and set up the projector in it. At lest the hard part is over. It not going to be a coffie table anymore. Just a Table. I will have photos of it soon.
