Color wheel

I had a problem w/ my new projector. One day after having the thing upside down and pointing straight up. It started to act crazy. The colors that were projected were flickering and dim. I tryed just about everything. Shutting down the projector trying different setting everything. Then I called Dell what a pain in the ass. I had no service tag. So bottom line no help. Wast of 2 hours. Next I tryed the forums. So I Google the projector w/ the problems I had and started seeing that alot of people were having the same problem as me. So after reading the horror story’s of people w/ a service tag talking to Dell and Dell telling them all to buy a new lamp at $349.00. and it still didn’t work for them. (that sucks) I found a few post about opening up the projector and air spraying the dust out. So I went and bought a can of compressed air at $8.00. Opened up the projector and sprayed out the system. I have to tell you I saw no dust what so ever, but still I sprayed. I put it back together and it worked like new. No more flickering or dim colors. Saved a ton of money too. So basicly all I’m saying is that you should Google your problem before you get rid of your stuff. I was ready to give up on a projector that I paid $500.00 for.

First Multi Touch Post

Hello everyone and welcome to my new blog. I ‘m creating this blog for recording my progress on MT. So far I have a DI set up. It has a 36 inch screen across. It is about 2 1/2 ft off the ground. I used MDF board at 1/4 inch. I have a Dell 3400MP projector and I’m getting a fire i board cam. I have 100 IR LEDs at 940nm. I still have to wire them up into 4 sets of 25 in 5 LED arrays. This is powered by a 12v dc wallwart. If all goes well I will have some photos up soon. Stay tuned.
