FS mirror

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Yesterday when I was out in the morning. I came across this TV repair shop in my town. Next to there dumpster they have all kinds of junk out for the garbage. Mostly old rear projection TV’s. Well in one of them the FS mirror was still there. Oh yeah 100 dollar mirror sitting there waiting for me to take it home. Guess what I did take it home. So now I have everything I need. That was my last part to get. I have been using a mirror I bought from Lowes ( a hardware store in the US) Now I can return that one and use the one I got from the dumpster. So now I will have a better image and no screen door effect. Awesome that made my day yesterday. It’s always nice to find money laying on the ground and in this case it was like finding money. I was going to ask them if they had mirrors that I could have but decided to wait and see if they threw one out first. You know if I asked they would want to charge me money. At lest thats what I thought and before I did spend more money I gave this a try. It paid off

What is Touchlib?

Touchlib is a library for creating multi-touch interaction surfaces. It handles tracking blobs of infrared light, and sends your programs these multi-touch events, such as ‘finger down’, ‘finger moved’, and ‘finger released’. It includes a configuration app and a few demos to get you started, and will interace with most types of webcams and video capture devices. It currently works only under Windows but efforts are being made to port it to other platforms.
